Sheila Caroleen Haas

Sheila Caroleen Haas, 66, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS. Born January 29, 1946, at Herrington, KS, she was the daughter of L.G. and Ruth (Person) McEnterfer.
Sheila was a lifetime resident of Comanche County, KS. She attended Coldwater Grade School, graduated from Coldwater High School in 1964, and attended Fort Hays State University. She was the secretary for the Comanche County Road and Bridge Department.
She was a member of the Antioch Community Church in Buttermilk, KS. Other memberships included: Order of Eastern Star; Buttermilk Saddle Club; Jobs Daughters; Chili Peppers; Southwestern Barrel Racing Association; and Kansas State Rodeo Association.
She married James Haas on December 26, 1964 at Coldwater, KS. He survives.
She is survived by her husband: James Haas of Coldwater, KS; her mother: Ruth Patterson of Council Grove, KS; one son: Trent Haas and wife Melissa of Coldwater, KS; one daughter: Tasha Haas of Lawrence, KS; two grandchildren: Lindsay Haas and Lane Haas of Coldwater, KS; her mother-in-law: Lucille Haas of Coldwater, KS; her brother-in-law: Mike Haas of Coldwater, KS; her uncle: Dick Person of Council Grove, KS; and two nieces: Shanda Kitzmiller and Michelle Holligan, both of Denver, CO.
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother: Mike McEnterfer; her step-father: Carl Patterson; and her father-in-law: Jim Haas.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2012, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS. Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the First Christian Church in Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Doug Johnson presiding. Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
