Vickie Lee Williams passed away peacefully the morning of July 27th, 2025, at Protection Valley Manor in Protection, KS. She was 76 years old.

Vickie was born in Ashland, KS to Jim and Leona Mae Winn Williams. She grew up on a farm just south of Protection, graduating from Protection High School in 1967. After high school, she moved to Wichita, KS to begin a career as a beautician, co-owning & operating 2 salons. In 1986, Vickie returned to Protection to raise her son, Caleb, while owning and operating the Protection Motel. Later, she earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree and a Registered Nurse licensure. Vickie worked at Protection Valley Manor as an RN and part-time clerk at Convenience Plus in Protection. In 2003, Vickie moved to Benton, AR to be close to her sister, Sharron, and the Seyfert family. While in Arkansas, she worked as a home health nurse in Hot Springs Village, AR. After nearly 15 years in Arkansas, Vickie returned to Protection where she would live out her final days near long-time friends and family while residing at Protection Valley Manor.

Vickie is survived by her son, Caleb, and his wife, Leda Will, 1 grandson, Alexander Williams of Tulsa, OK, and many adored nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Kala, Sharron, and Connie, and son, Brandon.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the American Legion Building in Protection, KS.
