Vonnie Faye Wymer, 92, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015, at her residence in Coldwater, KS. Born May 3, 1923, at Devol, OK, the daughter of William "Willie" L. and Eula (Neighbors) Hall, she graduated from Burkburnett High School in Burkburnett, TX.
Vonnie was nearly a lifetime resident of Protection, KS. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Protection, KS, where she was actively involved for many years. Other memberships include: Baptist Women's Missions Circle and Protection Quilting Circle. She loved to travel and took many trips all over the United States with her husband, Lynn.
On June 12, 1941, she married Lynn Wymer at Azle, TX. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2002.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Waymond Hall; and one sister: Lois Marshall.
She is survived by three sons: Allyn Wymer (Kaylee) of Greenville, TX, Gayle Wymer (Kathy) of Fort Worth, TX, and Dewey Wymer (Lichung) of Eulas, TX; two daughters: Lynda Cooley of Coldwater, KS and Joyce Williams (Kevin) of Washington D.C.; six grandsons: Jason Roberts, Robin Roberts, Troy Wymer, Mike Wymer, Ben Wymer, and Erik Williams; two granddaughters: Amy Watson and Kara Williams; fourteen great-grandchildren: Racy, Paige, Treasure, Kendra, Jeffery, Kane, Zach, Shyla, Victoria, Christian, Christopher, Brayden, Annyka, and Makayla; one great-great-granddaughter: Cheyenne Faye; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Protection First Baptist Church in Protection, KS, with Pastor Brandon Hagins presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
