Wallace Gary Jellison
Wallace Gary Jellison, 77, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at the South Wind Hospice House in Pratt, KS. Born August 12, 1935, in Sitka, KS, he was the son of Charley Daniel and Edith Hattie (Withrow) Jellison.
Wallace attended Protection Grade School and graduated from Protection High School in 1955. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1959. On July 20, 1963, he married Ann Stein in Newton, KS. She survives.
Wallace was a long time resident of Protection, KS, previously living in Beaver, OK. He worked as District Evaluation Technician for Northern Natural Gas for many years. He was a member of the Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS. He was also a member of the N.R.A.
He is survived by his wife: Ann Jellison of Protection, KS; two sons: Cary Jellison of Ulysses, KS and Chris Jellison and his wife Jeanette of Protection, KS; five grandchildren; and four special grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Donald Dean Jellison.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Funeral service is at 9:00 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS, with Pastor Philip Smith presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS, with full military honors.
